Meet Hootkins at the the
ACWA Conference from May 3-6 in San Jose,
California
ENTRIX, Inc., a professional
environmental consulting firm specializing in water resource
management, environmental risk management, natural resources
management, natural resource economics, and facility
permitting & compliance, has hired Susan Hootkins as
senior consultant.
Based in the Walnut Creek,
California, office, Ms. Hootkins will assist ENTRIX to expand
its water and land resources management services within
federal, state, and local agencies by managing projects
involving multidisciplinary environmental impact and resource
management issues.
Ms. Hootkins brings over 32 years
of planning experience to a well-reputed team of environmental
consulting professionals, which include engineers, biologists,
hydrologists, geologists, oceanographers, ecologists,
toxicologists, economists, planners, and regulatory/permitting
experts.
"I joined ENTRIX because of its reputation
for providing comprehensive environmental consulting services
for water treatment, storage, and conveyance projects,
mitigation planning, and habitat restoration and because of
its extensive expertise and capabilities in economics and
aquatic ecology," according to Ms. Hootkins.
After 17
years of local and regional planning experience in the public
sector in the San Francisco Bay Area, she entered private
consulting as an environmental planner in 1990. Since then,
she has worked with multidisciplinary teams to complete
complex resource management and environmental compliance
projects for the federal government and California water
agencies. Ms. Hootkins has considerable experience in
environmental planning and review, natural resources planning
including water resources, land use planning, and public
involvement. She is involved in all phases of planning and
impact analyses, which include project design and management,
issue identification, public scoping, baseline studies,
alternatives analysis, plan formulation, and impact
mitigation.
Ms. Hootkins earned her Bachelor of Arts
degree in human biology from Stanford University in 1973 and
Masters in Urban Planning from San Jose State University in
1981.
